Gut Impressions

I stand at the Gut in South Bristol, Maine, mesmerized by the colors floating on the moving water. Lobster boats and pleasure craft signal to the swing bridge attendant of their approach. They pass in front of me churning the waters and adding to the dance of pattern. Reflecting the blues and reds of the painted wooden structures that line the harbor, the water becomes a photographer's palette. The setting sun enhances the mood adding golden light and warmth.
